Tick...Tick...Tick...

Solid entertainment.
I remember watching this movie at the theater when I was in high school during the 70's. Growing up in the deep south, I could identify with Jim Price character played by Jim Brown. The overall theme throughout the movie was just a guy trying to do his job in a hostile environment with little or no help. The background music was a bit too "folksy" for me, but the acting is top-notch by Jim Brown, George Kennedy, and Fredrick March. Listening to March trying to do a southern accent was hilarious. I recorded this movie off my local television station back in the 90's. I was glad to find it was on DVD. The DVD transfer was a good as it could be for a 40+ year old movie. I thought this movie was not as good as "In The Heat Of The Night" with Rod Steiger and Sidney Poitier, but very well done in any case.

WAS FUN WATCHING THIS FILMED!
I lived in Colusa, CA when this was being filmed. Jim brown was great and played catch with us kids with a football. they let us eat all the doughnuts we wanted from their breakfast setup on the set. They set big movie lights up in the yard of our house for the big night scene where Jim Brown drove around town with the with the scirene blaring. My father was an extra on this film. A friend of mine and I were in the background of a scene. We were putting playing cards in the spokes of our bikes at the time. hahaha It was the scene from with John Little coming home with his wife from the market. She was nagging him in the car. It was so much fun watching them film! IF Premiered in our town, Colusa, CA

One of the first movies to show race relations
Great movie with a great cast. Made during the civil rights era, it was gutsy and powerful. A good movie for history buffs of the civil rights movement.
